About the role

This position is located with the Aquatics Center on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. This is a training position for a certified Lifeguard. Works under close supervision wherein the work is closely reviewed/monitored and detailed guidance provided. Must participate in all required training (emergency rescue drills, emergency action plan simulations). Mandatory certifications must be complete within 30 calendar days of employment. Upon completion of mandatory certifications, the incumbent will be noncompetitively reassigned to Recreation Aid (Lifeguard), PD #3206, responsible for lifeguarding guest in attendance at an assigned aquatic facility. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must be able to swim and participate in the lifeguard certifications.
