About the Position: This position is in the Naval Medical Center, Directorate of Medicine - Neurology Department, San Diego, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Make complete arrangements for administrative meetings; locating and assembling information for various reports and designing and organizing filing systems. Answer incoming phones calls, ensuring calls for department are properly referred. Draft, review, and edit non-technical correspondence and presentation materials. Oversee and coordinate the shipping and receiving of supplies and materials utilizing software platforms or other automated inventory tracking systems. Serve as primary Defense Medical Human Resources Military Systems timekeeper. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing calls or visitors to appropriate personnel, providing information and assistance to customers and staff, administering various correspondence through automated systems, and managing multiple schedules and calendars. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
