About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Manage and adjudicate the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) clearance program, validating background investigations and continuous evaluation protocols per AR 380-67. Align personnel access controls with physical, industrial, and information security safeguards across CCAD facilities. Evaluate derogatory data and foreign travel risks to recommend administrative mitigations or security actions to the Command. Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in personnel and contractor access to protect critical depot operations and sensitive mission details. Provide oversight of an ID card office operations and serve as Site Security Manager for Real Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing security questionnaires (such as the SF-86) for completeness and accuracy; initiating, reviewing, and tracking requests for personnel security investigations and clearances using automated systems like the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP); verifying security clearance and access eligibility through databases and other official means; and assisting employees and managers with the completion of security forms and briefing/debriefing requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Criminal Justice / Criminology, Homeland Security / National Security Studies, Business Administration / Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Operations Security Personnel Security Program Security Risk Assessment and Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
