About the role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION ANALYSIS SPECIALIST in the PRODUCTION SUPPORT DIVISION of MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY. You will serve in this Supervisory role by consulting and advising on priorities, staffing, funding, project milestones, as well as brief the supervisors on progress, potential controversial issues, work assignments, and complete technical reports. You will perform all levels of Industrial Manufacturing and Maintenance processes related to the re-manufacturing, rebuild, repair, and modification of weapon systems and equipment. You will provide information, advice, and assistance to the Plant managers, Plant Division Mangers, and other staff on a wide variety of management and administrative projects, policies, issues, and initiatives which support the depot's mission. You will function in a project management role, key advisor, consultant, and coordinator. You will interpret blue prints, specifications, and drawings to determine the required capability to perform to the technical data package. You will identify, analyze, and direct the resolution of problems in industrial processes, procedures, requirements, and workmanship. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, the difficulty of the work projects, and the capabilities of the employees. You will review job descriptions for accuracy, report detailing of employees at jobs other than their own, and initiate and/or participate in review of improvement of work methods. You will apply practical and technical knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Lean Six Sigma (LSS), and LEAN 6S is required to perform the core duties of the job Leadership. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Plan, develop, and coordinate resources, facilities, and administrative support functions to improve and foster efficient operations of the organization; establish short and long-range plans (e.g., planning for production, facilities, equipment, personnel resources) to accomplish program objectives; manage project milestones and budgets from planning to implementation; and develop and resent reasoned argument to persuade others to accept new methods, procedures, or organizational relationships.
