About the role

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the PERSONNEL PERFORMANCE AND TRANSITION DIVISION of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND. You will receive and review correspondence from various commands concerning officer and enlisted performance. You will prepare messages, memoranda, correspondence, and reports. You will ensure security requirements for sensitive and classified materials and information are followed. You will provide guidance on case management status, disposition of actions and updates of OMPF. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience .in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising personnel on human resources procedures and regulations to support administrative operations; 2) Utilizing office software and computer programs to support and manage databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines; 3) Interpreting human resources laws and policies to recommend solutions to personnel and entitlement discrepancies; and 4) Communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to share information, correspondence, and reports summarizing data to all levels of the chain of command.
