About the Position: This position is located at 82nd Medical Group, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Provide supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. Maintain contact with customers and other offices on program requirements for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items. Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. Perform property accountability and management. Perform document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions. Respond to visitor and telephone inquiries on supply problems and issues. Use word processing software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an automated supply system; ensuring supplies meet regulatory standards; and maintaining supply or inventory records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management or Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
